Quick Update!

12/30/2009

Ok, well, the holiday literally kicked my butt. I had 2 live sound gigs within 2 days of each other. That means I set up the system, ran sound, tore it down, then set up another system, ran sound then actually came back later in the week to tear down the 2nd system so I guess you could say I had a busy holiday. I wouldn’t have had it any other way though because I was working doing what I love and making money to boot. Aah, the joys of working in the best industry ever. Now, enough of my jabber-jawing…I wanted to update you on some current happenings here at American Musical Supply. We have a Year End Warrior sale going on right now and if you aren’t signed up to receive our emails, you had better get your butt over to the home page and get signed up or you could miss out on some killer deals. Do it!

Clean up noisy audio projects with ease

12/10/2009

As many folks just getting their feet wet in the world of recording, whether it is digital, tape or any medium in between, you probably know a lot about noise. It can present itself in many different ways, hum, hiss buzzing or a strange combination of all three. If you are all too familiar with this problem, allow me to introduce you to a friend of mine, IZotope Music and Speech Cleaner Software. Music andĀ Speech Cleaner’s intuitive step-by-step interface guides you through the cleanup process without slowing you down. Based on the same advanced noise reduction technology the experts use, the program provides professional-quality results at a non-expert price. Music and Speech Cleaner works with a range of compatible file types, meaning it works with your favorite software, like Apple iMovie or Adobe Premiere Elements. Cleaned files can also be imported into iTunes to create MP3 or AAC files and then burned to an audio CD. This software is truly a time saver that will pay for itself in no time at all. Thanks for reading.

Every year, the holiday season comes and goes with haste and often many missed opportunities to see newly added products because of the hustle that everyone seems to be in. This year, I’m cluing you in on some nice, newly added acoustic instruments that everyone would appreciate. The new instruments are from Bedell Guitars and feature some incredible appointments and best of all, sound. Check them out when you have a few minutes; you’ll probably like what you see.

Quick Holiday Season Update…

12/02/2009

…then I’m back to taking phone calls. First of all, I would like to apologize for not updating the last couple of days as I have been absolutely slammed with phone calls to the tech line here at American Musical Supply. Tis the season for tons of incoming calls. Anyway, it has also been a crazy week for me. Last Saturday I was the DJ for a wedding receptionandĀ  then on Wednesday I had a gig doing sound for a band in a small town 30 minutes from my home, I got home from that gig at 4:30am. Then on Thursday, Thanksgiving, I had to get up and drive an hour to my in-laws house for a holiday party and as if that was not enough for the week, Friday I had another party and then Saturday I had a gig in Iowa. It has been a total blur but pretty fun. Time literally flew! That’s all I have, just a quick update for you today. I’ll try to get some new gear posted in the next few days. Thanks for reading and take care.
