If you’ve read any of my posts, you already know that I don’t just write entries about just any gear. I write about incredible bargains, cool new additions, tried and true equipment gear soon to be released or added to the site. This entry is no different. Today I came across the Fender CD140SCE Acoustic Electric Guitar and figured I had better write about this one too since it is such a great deal for a quality instrument.
The features of the CD140SCE are top notch and usually found on much higher priced guitars. The top is made of solid Spruce with the back and sides made of a mahogany laminate for both tone and better durability. This is the same material other manufacturers use to produce guitars costing easily twice as much as this one which is priced at a mere $299.00. The neck is made of Nato which is an inexpensive and renewable equivalent to mahogany and has a rosewood fingerboard. The electronics are the Fishman Aero pickup system with active on-board pre-amp. The controls include Volume, Bass, Mid, Treble, Phase and the system also has an integrated electronic tuner with On/Off switch. This is definitely a deal worth blogging. Check it out at AMS!
