It may not be new to the world of music, but it is a new model to the inventory at AMS. The Martin OMC-1E Acoustic Electric Guitar is as professional as they come with top notch appointments and sound. The top is made using solid
Sitka Spruce for untouchable projection and color. It literally sings through the entire register and belts out clear and detailed tone. The back and sides are constructed with solid Sapele which really allows this beauty to resonate to the extreme.
Not only do the wood types have a huge impact on the sound but the shape also plays a huge role. Martin decided to use the 000 body size for added warmth and included a cutaway for easier access to the upper frets. Another big player in the game of tone happens to be the wood choice for the fingerboard and on this specific model they went with solid East Indian Rosewood, choice was definitely a good one because this guitar sound and plays like a dream. For those interested in the electronics, Martin used only the best by choosing Fishman. The marriage of tone and technology is a strong one here. Top this beauty off with a Martin hardshell case and you have yourself one fine piece of musical art. Play with care and passion.

I own this model guitar. It is everything you could possibly want as a performing musician and nothing you don’t need. It’s balance between low and high end notes is superb, the articulation and dynamics are superb. The neck’s action right out of the box is perfect as well as the intonation. The tone from the 000 body is warm and full with a great tight bottom end and crisp but not harsh top end notes. The mid-range is full and creamy. It is built with top of the line Martin craftsmanship just without the non-necessary pearl, abalone and fancy frill trimmings. Something your working musician doesn’t really need since none of that has anything to do with the performance of any instrument. In my opinion, it’s a “best buy” in an electric/acoustic guitar. The Fishman Aero + system is just incredible.
